Not for me incomprehensible, artistic gobbledegook. Apart from anything else, while I have done many years of art training, this has been based on the practical rather than the esoteric, so I haven’t learnt how to write that sort of stuff...
Put simply, I love painting and I aim to create pieces that I hope people may enjoy having on their wall.
One of my paintings may wake you up (Sunburst)
, calm you down (Autumn Lake at Stourhead)
, evoke memories of a place or holiday (Ocean Blues 2)
, feature your favourite foliage (Autumn)
, or intrigue you (Unfathomable)
Or, dare I say it, one of my paintings may simply go with your colour scheme. I’m very happy to work to any colour or colours you may wish for. And the good news is that if you ask me to do a painting and you really, really don’t like the result, there is no obligation to purchase it.
Although I often use natural materials to create textures in my work – leaves, seaweed, feathers etc – these are removed before the final touches.
I exhibit regularly in Surrey and often open up my studio to visitors, either by appointment or as part of the Surrey Artists Open Studios initiative in June and December.
So do have a look around my website, pop into one of the exhibitions or get in touch with me through the Contact page to come along to my studio in Surrey. If you are planning to come to an exhibition in the hope of seeing a particular piece, do contact me first to find out exactly what is on show there.
